We recently had the privilege of meeting Erin Lalley-Bauer, floral designer and owner of Fern Croft, a Buffalo based florist. Since we’re between Buffalo and NYC so frequently, we decided to start highlighting some of our favorite businesses and we thought starting with this creative was just right!

I came across Fern Croft’s Instagram account two years ago and ever since I continue to look forward to seeing their beautiful imagery filled of gorgeous florals, bouquets, centerpieces and everything in between. Erin’s aesthetic can be seen across all of her work – light, airy and romantic. During our visit she was in the midst of working on a centerpiece for a wedding taking place at the Buffalo Club the following day. Though at the beginning stages, I could tell it was going to turn our beautifully while she placed red lushes ranunculus (found at the Clinton & Bailey Market) with eucalyptus through out (see last picture).

Fern Croft has also unveiled their new bouquet deliveries offering arrangements of all sizes starting at $65 – but don’t expect to call and ask for red roses and baby’s breath, Erin has a specific aesthetic and that’s most certainly not traditional (just my style!). They also offer workshops. Their Spring flower class will take place on May 6th – we’ll be in Texas, otherwise I’d be the first person to sign up! And if you’re wondering where Erin may find her florals (because I clearly was), she and her business partner, Liz Thomas, have been and will continue to take advantage of Liz’s 40 acres of land in Eden. I hope Erin is prepared for me to visit this flower farm and take 1025546 pictures!

Erin’s shop is located at 291 Bryant St. and if you’re looking for florals for a wedding or a simple dinner party, I would highly recommend Fern Croft!
